Boysenberry time!

5 years ago we planted 2 boysenberry plants. Now we have our front wall covered in plants. Over this past weekend we picked about10 cups of berries, enough to make two pies. Yum! The berries are very sweet and Beauchene loves them. I have to put in my 2 bits why I justify that I can eat this pie. The crust is made with ground whole grains of oat groats, millet, kamut, spelt, soft white wheat, and buckwheat and it is cut into non-hydrogenated palm oil, a healthy fat. Then the filling has only a small amount of raw sugar added to it. :)

Wow Amy!!! I want some of that pie! Those look so good. Nuthin better than berry pie. If you have enough berries to end up sharing - I'd love some. Are you going to make jam?

There is nothing like fresh picked produce out of your garden. I am jealous. Hopefully our plants will have enough sun to grow this summer. Pies look delicious.
