Today the kids had off being Labor Day so the spent the morning and early afternoon in the garage playing. They made a "hotel" and a "restaurant." I cleaned my kitchen then made bread. I took some slices out to them for their restaurant. Matt worked on a side job until 3pm and then came home. Then we all got to work on canning peaches. While the last batch of peaches was processing, Matt made a homemade fresh peach cobbler. It was so delicious. He made the cake part with ground mixed grains and just a little raw sugar. It was very tasty! By 9 pm, the peaches were done and they all sealed! Yea!!

love the restaurant & hotel! i remember doing stuff like that with my siblings. wish we had pictures.
i'm jealous of your peaches, but not the work. i hated helping my mom can, but they were soooo yummy.
This may sound ridiculous but I have canned peaches and pears and am so afraid to use them (botchelism, sorry can't spell that). So there they sit. How do you trust it? How long?
